Rebuilding!
At last! Less than a week ago we had a shell for a clubhouse. A freezing cold, bare-walled, empty shell. Now it's been rewired, the plumbing has been fixed up, insulation has been installed, and the room has been fully plasterboarded. The ceiling and one wall is plastered, the others are primed ready for skimming. Things are moving and improving. Our electrician, plumber and plasterer have worked magic. They have our thanks.
Of course, there's still a lot to be done - it's still just a shell - but it's a warmer, drier, nicer shell now. It feels so different, so positive.
There's just nine weeks until the season starts! It sounds incredibly close. There's still new doors, windows, decorating, lighting, heating, carpets, seating, an entire new bar and kitchen area to be installed, changing rooms to be cleared and upgraded, and all the fittings and fixtures to get in place by then - many are still in the planning stages - but we are trying so very hard to be ready for that first match.
We hope everyone will visit to see the results when we're finished! We think it will be something special.
