Bad day at the office

One week you're up. The next you're down. Such is life. And such is the way results went at the weekend. After the previous week's two victories out of three, this week was two defeats and a not-played out of three.

The first team put on a strong performance at home against Embsay scoring 167, thanks to Zahid Mahmood (41) & Naveed Hussain (38) and a good 8th wicket partnership between Mohammed Arshad & Nasser Razak. Sadly it wasn't quite enough as Embsay reached their target with 4 balls to go. Pick of the bowling were Mohammed Zulfiqar (3-39) and tight control by Mohammed Arshad (18 runs from 8 overs)

The second team... Well, 45 all out wasn't likely to be enough (well done Danny Kernan for making double figures at least), and so it proved. Ah well, let's not dwell on it.

At least this week nobody picked up a shiner!
