Happy New Year - Onwards and Upwards

A new year has dawned, winter's still not quite decided whether to bother this time, the pitch isn't currently under water (fingers crossed everyone), and thoughts are starting to turn to the new season already!

We have lists of lists of jobs to do! One list just wasn't enough. With the weather putting re-roofing the home changing room on hold for a while, this weekend's main task looks likely to involve the away changing room.

Time for a good old fashioned spring clean. There's still stuff stored in there from the flood. We have to be ruthless. We need to declutter. We need to work hard. We'll spend hours looking through scorebooks from five years ago instead...

But seriously, although the season is still fourteen weeks away, it will come round far quicker than anyone believes possible. With that in mind, we'll be making a genuine list of what needs doing down to the tiniest thing, then we'll be hoping for plenty of volunteers to help out in ticking them all off (and before you ask Mr Kernan - the task actually needs to be completed before the ticking can occur!) I'm sure we'll have plenty of volunteers!

On the playing side, the winter nets begin on January 29th at Bingley Grammar School at noon - £3 per person. I'm sure that everyone will be eager to get back into the swing of things to be best prepared for the opening fixtures. The first team in particular will be relishing the chance to put one over Oakworth CC again that first weekend!

Roll on April!
